14.6 Headers and Footers
Steps in Excel
- Insert › Text › Header & Footer – the sheet switches to Page Layout view.
- Click the left/centre/right section and type, or use Header & Footer › Header & Footer Elements: Page Number, Number of Pages, Current Date, File Name, Sheet Name, Picture.
- Codes look like
&[Page] of &[Pages],&[Date],&[Tab]. - Options on the same tab: Different First Page, Different Odd & Even Pages, Scale with Document.
- Alternative: Page Layout › Page Setup dialog launcher › Header/Footer tab › Custom Header….
- Return with View › Workbook Views › Normal.

Khup students report cha title sheet chya pahilya row madhe lihitat aani page number detach nahit – mag print kelelya panancha kram (order) haravla ki kahich kalat nahi. Title header madhe aani "Page 1 of 5" footer madhe taka; te pratyek panavar aapoaap yeta.
Practice task
Add a centred header with your report title and a footer with the sheet name (left), Page X of Y (centre) and the print date (right). Check in Print Preview.
