14.5 Page Setup: Orientation, Scaling and Margins
Steps in Excel
- Page Layout › Page Setup › Orientation › Landscape for wide tables.
- Page Layout › Page Setup › Size › A4 (Indian offices normally use A4, not Letter).
- Page Layout › Scale to Fit › Width: 1 page, Height: Automatic – all columns fit one page width; rows flow to more pages.
- Margins › Narrow or Custom Margins… › tick Center on page: Horizontally.
- Page Layout › Sheet Options › Gridlines: tick Print if you want lines on paper (or add borders instead).
- Check with File › Print (Ctrl + P) – the preview on the right.
Worked example – Orders extract with 15 columns.
