Why do we need it?
Big teams want one API (kubectl) to deploy and heal pods across clouds. That API is Kubernetes.
What is it?
Amazon EKS runs the managed Kubernetes control plane (API server, etcd, scheduler). You add worker nodes (EC2 or Fargate) where pods run.

How to do it
Create an EKS cluster, join a node group or Fargate profile, kubectl apply a Deployment.
Example
kubectl get nodes shows Ready workers; pods schedule onto them.
