What this card says
Why do we need it?
Picking Kubernetes when you only need a Docker web API wastes weeks of ops.
What is it?
Lambda: short event work (≤15 min). ECS: long-running containers and familiar Docker. EKS: full Kubernetes API when you already live in k8s.
How to do it
Start student labs on ECS Fargate. Move to EKS only when the job needs kubectl/Helm.
Prefer Fargate labs
Example
A Node API that must stay warm for hours belongs on ECS, not on a 15-minute Lambda.
