Why do we need it?
Pasting portal cookies into the CLI is not the supported path and breaks easily.
What is it?
Configure an SSO profile (start URL, region, account, role) then aws sso login to cache temporary credentials via STS.
aws sso login
How to do it
aws configure sso → browser login → aws sts get-caller-identity --profile your-sso-profile.
Example
Caller identity shows the permission-set role ARN; no long-lived access key was created for the human.
