14.23 The Analytics Pane
Select a supported visual › Visualizations › Analytics (magnifying-glass icon). Available lines depend on the visual type:

Steps in Power BI – forecast daily orders
- Create a Line chart with X-axis =
'Date'[Date](Type Continuous) and Y-axis = Total Orders. No legend and no secondary axis. - Analytics › Forecast › + Add line.
- Units Points, Forecast length 30, Confidence interval 95%, Seasonality (Auto or 7 for weekly patterns). Use Ignore the last 1 point if the latest day is incomplete.
- Format the forecast line colour and confidence band style › Apply.
Ravindra Bagale's Tip
Mitrano, lakshat theva: forecast options go missing when the X-axis is categorical or when there is a legend or a second measure. Use a continuous date axis with a single measure. Also, a forecast doesn't know about next year's Diwali date, so treat it as a rough baseline, not a promise. Punha ekda karun bagha, mag pudhe jaa.
Practice task
On a column chart of Avg Delivery Time by City, add a constant line at 10 minutes (label "Target") and an average line. Then add a forecast to a daily orders line chart.
