Google Flow and Veo in India: ₹ Plans and Filmathon 2026

Google Flow is Google's AI creative studio for short cinematic clips. It uses Google video models (including Veo) and bills in India through Google AI Plus / Pro / Ultra plans. As of 23 October 2026, Google AI Plus is about ₹399 per month with 200 Flow credits a month; Pro is about ₹1,950 with 1,000 credits. The WIF India × Google Flow Filmathon asks Indian nationals (18+) for an original short film of up to 5 minutes, made with Flow, submitted by 30 October 2026. The Flow watermark must stay visible.

Suppose you sell kurtis on Meesho and also want a shot at the Filmathon prize. Same tool, two jobs: an 8-second product reel today, and a short film checklist before the 30 October deadline. This guide shows both, with India rupee plans and the watermark rule written clearly.

What you will learn in this guide

  • What Flow and Veo mean in plain words
  • India ₹ plans and Flow credits
  • An 8-s Meesho product reel
  • A 15-s Diwali shop promo with audio
  • Filmathon entry checklist
  • Watermark and consent rules

1. Suppose Ravi needs a Diwali reel and a Filmathon plan

Suppose Ravi runs a small gift shop in Nagpur. He needs an 8-second Instagram reel from one product photo this week. He also heard about a Google Flow Filmathon with cash prizes and a 30 October 2026 deadline. He opens Flow, spends a few credits on a product clip, and keeps a separate checklist for the competition so he does not remove the watermark by mistake.

2. What are Google Flow and Veo?

Word Simple meaning
Flow Google's AI studio to build short cinematic clips and scenes
Veo Google's family of video generation models used inside Flow and other Google products
Flow credits Monthly allowance that pays for generations on paid Google AI plans
Watermark A visible Flow mark on the video (India users also get this; do not remove it for Filmathon)
Filmathon WIF India contest: original short film up to 5 minutes using Google Flow

Figure 1. Google Flow in India in five steps: check the rupee plan and credits, open Flow, make a short product or promo clip, keep the watermark, then either post the reel or follow the Filmathon checklist before 30 October 2026.

3. India ₹ plans and credits (checked 23 October 2026)

Plans change. Open Google AI plans (India) before you pay.

Plan (India page) About price / month Flow credits (listed) First use
Google AI Plus ₹399 200 / month Short product reels and practice
Google AI Pro ₹1,950 1,000 / month More clips and longer experiments
Google AI Ultra 5x ₹6,500 10,000 / month Heavy creators (check live page)
Google AI Ultra 20x ₹19,500 25,000 / month Highest listed consumer tier

Filmathon organisers do not give you a free Flow subscription. You arrange your own access and credits. Introductory offers (if any) also change — trust the Google account page on the day you subscribe.

4. Worked example 1: 8-second Meesho product reel in Flow

  1. Sign in to Google Flow with the Google account that has AI Plus or Pro (or check any free daily credit your account still shows).
  2. Start a new project. Upload one clear product photo you own (or have seller rights to use) — for example a kurti flat-lay on a plain table.
  3. Paste a short motion prompt:
Keep the same kurti and colours. Soft daylight. Slow camera push-in
for 8 seconds. Clean shop look. No text overlay. No extra people.
  1. Generate a short clip (about 8 seconds). Prefer a draft or Fast mode first so you do not burn Quality credits on a bad framing.
  2. Export. For a normal Instagram or Meesho promo, crop and add your price text in CapCut or InShot if you need clean branding. For Filmathon, do not remove, crop out, cover or alter the Flow watermark.

Expected output (yours will be similar, not the same): an 8-second clip of the same kurti with gentle motion, Flow mark visible on India accounts, ready to caption as an AI-assisted reel.

Ravindra Bagale's Tip

Students often write a 2-minute film prompt on the first try and empty the monthly credits. Make one 8-second product test first. When the framing looks right, only then spend more credits on longer scenes.

5. Worked example 2: 15-second Diwali shop promo with native audio

  1. In Flow, create a second short project for Ravi's Diwali offer.
  2. Use a prompt that asks for light, mood and a simple voice line if your Flow plan supports native audio on that model:
Small Indian gift shop counter with diyas and gift boxes at dusk.
Warm golden light. 15 seconds. Gentle pan left to right.
Soft cheerful voice in clear English: "Diwali gifts ready. Free packing today."
No celebrity faces. No real brand logos.
  1. Generate once. Listen with headphones. If the words are wrong, shorten the spoken line and regenerate once — do not loop ten times.
  2. Add your real WhatsApp number only in the Instagram caption, not inside the AI frame if the model invents wrong digits.
  3. Label the post: "AI video made with Google Flow".

Expected output: a short festive shop mood clip with (when the model supports it) simple spoken audio. Always check that any on-screen or spoken price matches your real offer.

6. Worked example 3: Filmathon checklist (before 30 October 2026)

Official page: WIF India Filmathon1. Rules can update — re-read before you submit.

FILMATHON CHECKLIST (copy into a note)
[ ] I am an Indian national, 18 or older
[ ] Film is my original work
[ ] Runtime is 5 minutes or less
[ ] Google Flow was used in the creative process
[ ] Flow watermark is still visible (not removed, cropped, covered or altered)
[ ] No unauthorised copyrighted film clips, characters or music
[ ] Content fits U/A-style guidelines (no graphic gore, no explicit sexual content)
[ ] I arranged my own Flow access and credits
[ ] I posted the film on social media (required) and saved the post link
[ ] I registered and will use the submission link WIF sends to registered people
[ ] Deadline in mind: film submission by 30 October 2026 (extended date on the official page)
[ ] IFFI Goa showcase date to watch: 23 November 2026 for selected films

Prizes (as listed by WIF India): 1st ₹12 lakh, 2nd ₹8 lakh, 3rd ₹4 lakh (tax applies), plus travel/stay help for the IFFI showcase for winners. Top 5 films may be shown at IFFI Goa 2026. Participation does not guarantee a prize.

Expected output: a personal checklist you can tick before upload. If any box fails (especially watermark), fix it before you submit.

  • Use your own photos, or photos you have rights to sell with.
  • Do not deepfake a real person, politician or celebrity into your film.
  • For Filmathon, keep the Flow watermark.
  • Say in the social post that AI tools helped make the film.
  • Plans and deadlines change: check Google and WIF pages again on the day you pay or submit.

8. Beginner mistakes and quick fixes

Mistake What happens Quick fix
Burning credits on long first takes Empty monthly allowance Start with 8-s product tests
Removing the Flow watermark for Filmathon Disqualification risk Leave the mark visible
Inventing a "free Filmathon Flow login" Wasted time Buy or use your own Google AI plan
Pasting real customer phone numbers into the prompt Privacy risk Put contact only in the caption
Missing 30 Oct 2026 Entry rejected Set a phone reminder for 28 Oct

9. Try at home

Try at home

  1. Open the India Google AI plans page and write down Plus vs Pro credit numbers for today.
  2. Make one 8-second product reel from a photo you own.
  3. Copy the Filmathon checklist into your notes app and tick what you already meet.
  4. If you enter, re-read womeninfilmindia.org/filmathon1/ on the day you submit.
