Repo and secrets

  • [ ] Public or private practice repo with clear README
  • [ ] .gitignore blocks .env, keys, Terraform state
  • [ ] example.env has fake values only
  • [ ] No real cloud keys in history (if unsure, rotate)

App and containers

  • [ ] /health works locally
  • [ ] /badge (or equivalent) works locally
  • [ ] Dockerfile builds reproducibly
  • [ ] Compose brings stack up; volume lesson noted if DB used

CI

  • [ ] PR shows a green required check
  • [ ] main produces a SHA-tagged image
  • [ ] Workflow YAML has no pasted passwords

Deploy (A or B)

  • [ ] One path fully green end-to-end
  • [ ] Health checked after deploy
  • [ ] Rollback steps written and tried once (lab)

Observe + cleanup

  • [ ] One monitoring note or one log query note
  • [ ] Compose stopped / kind deleted / idle VM stopped
  • [ ] Terraform destroy done if you applied anything

Story
