Chapter 6: Why Docker, Images and How a Container Is Created
6.6 Way 3 — docker compose up (pointer)
Why you will see it. Three containers, a network and a volume are a lot of docker run flags. Compose reads a file and creates the containers. You do not type docker run yourself.
Chapter 7 owns that lesson: the stack file, networks, volume types, env files, and docker compose up. Do not keep a second Compose file in this chapter. When you get there, docker compose up -d is way 3. docker compose down removes the containers Compose created. Add -v only when you mean to delete volumes — Chapter 7 says why.
