Why. Beginners open 0.0.0.0/0 on every port “so it works”. That is a future incident report.
What / How — secure defaults
- Prefer your public IP as source for SSH.
- Open only ports you need (22, 80, 443).
- Delete lab-wide allows when the week ends.
- Deallocate VMs; delete unused public IPs.
