3.3 Cloud Shell Idea
Why. Sometimes you want a terminal without installing Azure CLI on your laptop.
What. Azure Cloud Shell is a browser terminal (Bash or PowerShell) with Azure tools, backed by a small storage mount.
How.
- Click the Cloud Shell icon in the portal top bar.
- If prompted to create storage for Cloud Shell, read the region/cost note carefully — or skip Cloud Shell until you understand storage accounts (Ch 7).
- Try
az account showwhen ready (fictional lab output only in class demos).
