Why. Port 80 closed in NSG = browser timeout even if Nginx is fine.

What. Add an inbound NSG rule allowing TCP 80 from your IP (better) or carefully from the internet for a short lab.

How.

  1. Find the VM’s NSG in Networking.
  2. Add inbound allow TCP/80 with a clear name allow-http-lab.
  3. Browse http://PUBLIC_IP — default Nginx page.
  4. Remove wide-open rules after the lab if not needed.
