10.6 Pipeline job from SCM

Steps — Pipeline job wired to Git

  1. In Jenkins, New Item → Pipeline (name badge-api-ci).
  2. Under Pipeline definition choose Pipeline script from SCM.
  3. Point at your GitHub (or Git) repo URL; configure credentials if the repo is private.
  4. Set script path Jenkinsfile.
  5. For GitHub, prefer a webhook or SCM polling for labs — follow current GitHub/Jenkins plugin docs for your versions.
  6. Run Build Now; open Console Output.
  7. Fix red stages by changing the Jenkinsfile in Git — not only by clicking Freestyle fields.

What you see: Blue/green stage balls (or classic console text). Red Test stage → pytest output in the log, same debugging spirit as Actions.
