13.9 What about application metrics?

Host metrics answer "is the machine sick?" Application metrics answer "are orders failing?"
Later (and in real jobs) you add:
- HTTP latency/error metrics from the app or ingress
- Queue depth for background jobs
- Custom business counters ("menus served")
For this beginner chapter, host path first. Chapter 14 adds logging so you can explain why a red metric happened.
