Why. Models do not own the business. Humans still choose the question, the fairness rules, and the action after a score.
What. Human decisions that stay human:
- What problem is worth solving this month
- Which columns are allowed (no cheating, no unfair fields)
- What “good enough” means for evaluate
- What to do when risk is high (call customer, add staff, or ignore)
How.
Before you trust a score
- Write who gets hurt if the model is wrong (customer, rider, store).
- Agree a human review path for high-risk guesses.
- Never let a raw score auto-cancel an order without a written rule.
- Re-check data after festivals — Diwali weeks look different.
