Read this guide in: English ·

First steps: tiny Python → Jupyter → pandas → clean → EDA → charts.

  1. variables, lists, dicts, if/for, functions (संक्षेप) सीखो।
  2. Jupyter install/open करके cells चलाओ।
  3. pandas से CSV → DataFrame।
Python basics → Jupyter → pandas → clean → EDA → charts

  • Course: Variables and types.

Before और after

Before Python path Random tools without a beginner path.

Before — random tabs and sklearn-first confusion.

After Python path Ordered steps; pandas sum check 190.

After — Python → Jupyter → pandas path; shop sum check 190.

Before: random tabs और sklearn-first उलझन। After: ordered path + pandas sum check 190.

  2. Cleaning code —
  3. Grouping, joining, charting —

  1. Day one पर advanced OOP ज़रूरी नहीं।

Tiny story:

  1. आपको shop_sales.csv मिलता है।
  2. Wrong path: Kaggle model copy, column names fail,
  3. Right path: read_csv → head → Online filter → sum 190 → bar chart।

Step 1 — Tiny Python (classroom minimum)

  1. Variables में numbers और strings।
  2. Sales की list: [120, 70]।
  4. High sales flag के लिए if।
sales = [120, 70]
total = sum(sales)
print(total)  # 190

  1. Notebook = cells
  2. Code cells Python
  3. Markdown cells — future self के notes।

Step 3 — pandas = table engine

import pandas as pd
df = pd.read_csv("shop_sales.csv")
online = df[df["channel"] == "Online"]
print(online["sales"].sum())  # 190

Real-world suppose

  1. Shop sales CSV — city, channel, sales।
  2. Instagram-like engagement — post_id, city, likes।
  3. Netflix-style watches — title, watches, बाद में missing clean।
  4. Infosys client spreadsheet — client, hours, week।

  1. sklearn.fit
  2. Neural nets tune
  3. Accuracy scores cleaning

Ravindra Bagale's Tip

Practice task

  2. एक Mumbai Online row का dict।
  3. channel == "Online" की pandas filter लाइन।

  1. pandas — tables।
  2. matplotlib / seaborn — charts।
  3. openpyxl — Excel।
  4. NumPy — under the hood।

Not first: sklearn, tensorflow, AutoML demos.

Samajla ka? Python first, Jupyter desk, pandas tables, फिर clean और EDA।

Frequently asked questions

Why Python and not only Excel?

Excel is great for many jobs. Python scales to larger files, repeatable scripts, and the same workflow from cleaning to charts. Companies also hire for Python data skills.

Why not start with machine learning?

ML on dirty data teaches bad habits. Load, clean, explore, then visualise. That is the course design here.

Is Jupyter required?

Strongly recommended for learning. You can use a .py file later; Jupyter makes table output easy to see.

How much Python is enough?

Types, containers, loops, and functions. You do not need advanced OOP on day one.

What packages matter first?

pandas first; then matplotlib/seaborn. NumPy appears under the hood — the course covers essentials without ML libraries.

Where in the course?

Python basics chapter and the setup chapter — linked at the end.
