Chapter 03 · Digital Marketing with AI & Analytics

Using AI for Safe Content Drafts (Human Edit Required)

AI drafts fast. Humans own facts, tone and compliance.

~4 min readBeginner

Why this matters

Teams in India use AI for outlines and first drafts. Publishing raw output risks wrong prices, medical claims, or copy that sounds foreign to local buyers.

What you will learn

You will run a draft → edit → approve flow, keep a facts box (prices, addresses, phone) that AI must not invent, and disclose AI use when your policy asks for it.

How to do it

Never paste private customer lists into public AI tools. Prefer tools your organisation approves.

Steps (do these in order)

  1. Step 1 — Facts box first. Write verified price ranges only if real — or omit prices. Address, GSTIN display rules, phone — from the owner.
  2. Step 2 — Prompt for draft. “Write a 120-word Instagram caption for a Pune bakery Diwali box. Warm tone. Do not invent discounts or awards.”
  3. Step 3 — Edit checklist. Facts, local language mix if needed, CTA, hashtags limited, no competitor smear.
  4. Step 4 — Banned outputs. Guaranteed results, fake urgency, health cures, copyrighted song lyrics.
  5. Step 5 — Save versions. Store draft vs final in a doc so reviewers see changes.

Practice

  • Produce one AI draft and a human-edited final side by side.
  • List five prompts you refuse to run (e.g. fake reviews).
