6.4 Applied Steps नीट हाताळूया

प्रत्येक transformation चा Applied Steps मध्ये record होतो. Source, Navigation, Promoted Headers आणि Changed Type हे automatic steps नेहमी दिसतात.

• Step वर click केलं की त्या टप्प्यावरचा data दिसतो.
• Right-click › Rename मधून Removed blank rows सारखं स्पष्ट नाव द्या.
• ✕ वापरून step delete करता येतो; पुढचे steps त्यावर अवलंबून असतील तर error येईल.
• Gear icon असलेल्या step चं dialog पुन्हा उघडून settings बदला.
• Insert Step After, Move Before / Move After ने क्रम बदलता येतो; dependencies लक्षात घ्या.

Automatic Changed Type तपासा

Type detection sample rows वरून अंदाज लावते. PIN किंवा सुरुवातीला zeros असलेले product codes Text असले पाहिजेत. गरजेनुसार File › Options and settings › Options › Current File › Data Load मधून automatic detection नियंत्रित करा.

Steps manage करण्याची पद्धत

1. Home › Transform data उघडा आणि View › Query Settings सुरू ठेवा.
2. Step वर right-click करा. Edit Settings, Rename, Delete, Delete Until End, Insert Step After, Move Before, Move After, Extract Previous, View Native Query आणि Properties यांपैकी उपलब्ध options पाहा.
3. Properties मधल्या Description मध्ये कारण लिहा. Hover केल्यावर ती tooltip म्हणून दिसते.
4. Extract Previous वापरून आधीचे steps वेगळ्या reusable staging query मध्ये काढता येतात.

Practice

Blinkit Orders query मधल्या steps ना Promoted headers, Set data types, Removed cancelled test rows अशी अर्थपूर्ण नावं द्या. दोन महत्त्वाच्या steps साठी description लिहा. नाव प्रत्यक्ष transformation शी जुळलं पाहिजे.
