# 14.5 Line, area आणि stacked area

Line: time trendसाठी. X-axis Date, Y measures, secondary axis, legend, small multiples व tooltips. Total Orders आणि Orders LY तुलना करा; sample मध्ये festival spikes आहेत का पाहा. Unordered categories किंवा खूप lines टाळा.

Lines stroke / style / interpolation, markers, date continuous / categorical, axis range आणि labels format करा. Y-axis zeroवर सुरू करायचा का हे contextनुसार स्पष्ट ठरवा; बदल अतिशयोक्त दाखवू नका.

Area: volume जाणवतो. Stacked area layersचा total दाखवतो; पण वरच्या layersचा trend वाचणं कठीण. Shade transparency, lines आणि markers वापरा.

Orders by hour

Line chart: X=Order Hour, Y=Total Orders, Legend=Platform.

X categorical आणि Hour ascending sort.

Markers on; stroke width3.

उपलब्ध असल्यास Average line. Title Orders by Hour (IST).

Factमध्ये काही hours नसतील तर Categorical केल्याने ते आपोआप येत नाहीत; पूर्ण 0–23 hour dimension आणि show-items configuration लागू शकते.

Practice

Month / Sales / Category stacked area बनवा. मग City small multiples असलेला line करून readability तुलना करा.

तीन-चारपेक्षा जास्त layers असतील तर small multiples विचारात घ्या. Date axis continuous ठेवल्यास time gaps समजायला मदत होते.
