DAX, sorting, relationships आणि performance या सगळ्यावर data types चा परिणाम होतो. Column header icon किंवा Transform › Data Type वापरा.

 | Type | कशासाठी?

 | Text | Names, codes, सुरुवातीचे zeros असलेले IDs, phone numbers.

 | Whole number | Quantities, counts आणि खरोखर integer असलेले IDs.

 | Decimal number | Measurements आणि percentages.

 | Fixed decimal number / Currency | चार fixed decimal places असलेल्या money values; floating-point precision अडचणी कमी होतात.

 | Date / Time / Date/Time / Date/Time/Timezone | Dates, वेळ आणि timestamps.

 | True/False | Is Returned सारखे flags.

Numbers text स्वरूपात येणं, भारतीय date formats आणि Using Locale chapter 7.7–7.8 मध्ये सविस्तर पाहू. फोन number वर बेरीज करायची नसते; म्हणून तो digits असला तरी Text ठेवणं योग्य.

Automatic type detection तपासल्याशिवाय सोडू नका. Order ID किंवा Pincode मधले सुरुवातीचे zeros गेल्यावर फक्त Text केल्याने ते परत येत नाहीत; आधीच्या योग्य step वरून type सुधारा.
