# 8.9 Treemap आणि Sunburst

Hierarchy म्हणजे levels: City → Area किंवा Category → Product. Treemap rectanglesच्या areaने value दाखवतो; Sunburstमध्ये आतून बाहेर ringsने levels दिसतात.

Steps

Long-format data करा: City | Area | Sales. प्रत्येक Area rowवर City repeat करा.

Range select › Insert › Hierarchy Chart › Treemap किंवा Sunburst.

Treemapमध्ये Format Data Series › Label Options › Banner parent labelsसाठी वापरून पाहा.

Labels आणि totals पाहून hierarchy योग्य तयार झाली आहे का तपासा.

Worked example

काल्पनिक City/Area summaryमध्ये Puneच्या blockमध्ये Kothrud, Hinjewadi, Baner, Hadapsar, Wakad असतील. कोणता block मोठा आहे ते त्याच्या Salesवर ठरेल. Nagpurमध्ये Dharampeth विरुद्ध Sitabuldiची तुलना करता येईल, पण exact छोटी तुलना bar chartवर सोपी पडू शकते.

City totalची row आणि त्याच Cityच्या Area detail rows एकत्र दिल्यास double counting होऊ शकतं. फक्त योग्य detail level वापरा.

Practice

Category → Product sales treemap आणि City → Area order-count sunburst करा. छोटे boxes जास्त असतील तर Top items + स्पष्ट Others grouping किंवा दुसरा chart वापरा.

Headersमध्ये levels ठेवा; एकाच rowमध्ये City total आणि बाजूला unrelated Area columns देऊ नका. तीस छोटे boxes दिसत असले तरी त्यांचे labels वाचता येतीलच असं नाही.
