# 6.9 Group आणि Outline — details हवे तेव्हा उघडा

एका reportमध्ये detailsही हव्यात आणि summaryही पटकन दिसायला हवी, तर Group वापरा. Plus/minus buttonमुळे आत अजून data आहे हे वाचणाऱ्याला कळतं.

Steps

Collapse करायच्या detail rows किंवा columns select करा. Summary row/column बाहेर ठेवा.

Data › Outline › Group › Group › Rows किंवा Columns निवडा. Windows shortcut Shift + Alt + →.

Minusने collapse, plusने expand करा. 1, 2 असे level numbers संपूर्ण level दाखवतात.

Ungroupसाठी Data › Outline › Ungroup; Windows shortcut Shift + Alt + ←.

SUM formulasवरून outline तयार होऊ शकत असेल तर Group dropdown › Auto Outline वापरून result तपासा.

Outline Settingsमध्ये summary rows detailsच्या वर की खाली असतील ते ठरवा.

Wakad storeचा report

Jan, Feb, Mar या तीन monthly columnsनंतर Q1 Total ठेवा. फक्त Jan–Mar group करा; Q1 Total groupबाहेर ठेवा. असे चार quarters करा. Managerला Q1–Q4 totals दिसतील; एखाद्या quarterचं कारण पाहायचं असेल तर plus दाबता येईल.

Group केल्याने formulas recalculationचा अर्थ बदलत नाही. साधा SUM collapsed details धरतोच. Group हा displayसाठी आहे; access protection नाही.

Practice

Daily salesचे week groups आणि त्याभोवती month groups बनवा. Month levelपर्यंत collapse करा. Print Previewमध्ये summary व्यवस्थित दिसते का पाहून PDF save करा. Copy करताना Visible cells only वापरा.

Chapter पुन्हा आठवूया

Table तयार करा, अर्थपूर्ण नाव द्या आणि structured references वापरा.

Sort करताना पूर्ण records एकत्र ठेवा.

AutoFilter पटकन निवड करण्यासाठी; Advanced Filter complex AND/OR criteriaसाठी.

Visible totalsसाठी SUBTOTAL; error-aware calculationसाठी AGGREGATE.

Subtotal commandच्या आधी sort; details expand/collapse करण्यासाठी Group.

पुढे PivotTablesमध्ये हाच data वेगवेगळ्या पद्धतींनी summarize करू.

Groupमुळे data delete होत नाही आणि सुरक्षितपणे lockही होत नाही. तो फक्त दिसण्याचा level बदलतो. दुसऱ्याला workbook देताना summaryसोबत details उपलब्ध आहेत हे सांगा.
