# 4.8 XMATCH — value ची position शोधा

Microsoft 365 / Excel 2021+. =XMATCH(lookup_value, lookup_array, [match_mode], [search_mode]) हे MATCH सारखं position शोधतं. Default exact match आहे आणि XLOOKUP सारखे match/search modes आहेत.

CityMonth headers B1:E1 मध्ये Oct हा तिसरा item. A2:A5 मध्ये Nagpur तिसरा item. INDEX मध्ये दोन XMATCH वापरून two-way lookup करता येतो. =XMATCH(MAX(G2:G11),G2:G11) सर्वांत मोठ्या amount ची range मधली position देतो; sheet row number नाही.

Practice

Kolhapur आणि Nov यांच्या positions XMATCH ने शोधा. मग INDEX सोबत योग्य sales amount आणा.

MATCH मध्ये 0 न दिल्यास approximate default असतो; XMATCH मध्ये exact default असतो. हा फरक लक्षात ठेवा. Mixed Excel versions असतील तर MATCH(...,0) हा compatibility पर्याय वापरा.
