# 4.3 HLOOKUP — आडव्या table मध्ये शोधा

=HLOOKUP(lookup_value, table_array, row_index_num, [range_lookup]) हा VLOOKUP सारखाच आहे; पण पहिल्या row मध्ये शोधतो आणि त्याखालच्या निवडलेल्या row मधली value परत देतो.

Monthly targets example

Targets sheet मधल्या A1:E3 मध्ये हा sample table ठेवा:

=HLOOKUP("Sep",Targets!$A$1:$E$3,2,FALSE) → Pune साठी ₹5,50,000. Row index 3 दिला तर Nashik target मिळेल.

Practice

H1 मध्ये month लिहा आणि HLOOKUP ने Nashik चा target आणा. नंतर तेच XLOOKUP ने करून पाहा.

Horizontal data साठी HLOOKUP हाच एकमेव पर्याय नाही. नवीन Excel मध्ये XLOOKUP horizontal आणि vertical दोन्ही चालतो. पुढे PivotTable बनवायचा असेल तर months वेगवेगळ्या rows मध्ये आणणारा Unpivot उपयोगी पडतो; तो Module 10 मध्ये आहे.
