Ubuntu चा path Amazon Linux वर वापरणं ही नेहमीची सुरुवातीची चूक आहे. खालील table हा course च्या सामान्य package layouts चा reference आहे. Custom install मध्ये paths बदलू शकतात.

लक्षात ठेवण्यासारखे फरक

Nginx: package/service साधारण nginx. Main config /etc/nginx/nginx.conf.

Amazon Linux/CentOS: Nginx conf.d/*.conf; default root /usr/share/nginx/html; worker nginx.

Ubuntu Nginx: sites-available आणि sites-enabled symlink workflow; conf.d सुद्धा include असू शकतो. Default root /var/www/html; worker www-data.

Apache Amazon Linux/CentOS: httpd package/service, /etc/httpd, user apache, logs /var/log/httpd.

Apache Ubuntu: apache2 package/service, /etc/apache2, user www-data, logs /var/log/apache2.

Config tests: nginx -t, apachectl configtest किंवा Ubuntu वर apache2ctl configtest.

Install नंतर auto-start distro/package policy वर अवलंबून आहे; status आणि enabled state नेहमी तपासा. Host firewall enabled असेल तर UFW/firewalld आणि SELinux policy सुद्धा लागू होऊ शकते.

Practice

Table न पाहता Amazon Linux 2023 आणि Ubuntu साठी Apache package, config-test command आणि log folder लिहा.

Amazon Linux/CentOS = httpd; Ubuntu = apache2. Nginx चा service name समान असला तरी default root आणि site-config workflow वेगळे असू शकतात.
