# 5.5 Elastic IP: स्थिर public address

Auto public IP stop/start नंतर बदलल्यास Mauli Dairy चा DNS जुन्या IP वर राहू शकतो. Elastic IP हा release करेपर्यंत account कडे राहणारा स्थिर public IPv4 आहे.

EC2 Console → Network & Security → Elastic IPs → Allocate Elastic IP address → Allocate.

EIP select → Actions → Associate Elastic IP address → योग्य instance → Associate.

 EC2 console → Network & Security → Elastic IPs → Allocate Elastic IP address → Allocate
 Select the EIP → Actions → Associate Elastic IP address → choose instance → Associate

काढताना Disassociate आणि मग Release. फक्त वेगळा करून ठेवल्यास billing थांबेल असं नाही. Default quota अनेक accounts मध्ये प्रति region 5 असतो; current Service Quotas तपासा. Chapter 14.1 मध्ये charges/remapping आणि Chapter 9 मध्ये domain जोडणं पाहू.

Lab

mauli-web-1 चा जुना public IP लिहा. Lab EIP allocate/associate, stop/start आणि IP स्थिर आहे का पाहा. Lab पूर्ण झाल्यावर फक्त या lab चा EIP disassociate/release करा; इतर वापरातले EIPs काढू नका.

Instance terminate केल्याने EIP आपोआप release होईल असं नाही. Lab resource list वरून unused EIP/volumes तपासा आणि गरज संपलेलेच काढा.
